Terms & Conditions
1. About These Terms
This website is operated by A Slice of Joy Enterprise ("Slice," "we," "us," "our"), a creative enterprise working across creative direction, brand strategy, content production, media and original storytelling, currently trading primarily through its studio arm, Slice Works.
Slice is an early-stage business and is not currently incorporated as a limited company.

By using this website, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the site. We may update these Terms from time to time, see Section 9.
2. Using This Website
This site exists to introduce you to Slice and our work. You're welcome to browse it and share it.
Please don't:
- copy or reproduce content from this site for commercial use without our permission;
- try to access any part of the site or its systems without authorisation;
- use the site to send anything unlawful or harmful.
We may restrict or suspend access to the site at our discretion.
3. Intellectual Property & Copyright
Everything on this site, writing, photography, film, design, layout and brand assets, belongs to Slice or is used with permission, and is protected by copyright and other IP law.
Nothing on this site gives you a licence to use our work, in whole or in part, without our written consent.
This includes work created under Slice Works, Slice Platform, and Slice Originals, whether or not those names appear publicly on the site yet.
4. Brand & Logo Protection
The Slice and A Slice of Joy names, logos and visual identity are our brand assets. Please don't use them, or anything confusingly similar, without our written permission.
5. Portfolio & Case Studies
Work shown on this site, campaigns, films, editorials, photography and interviews, is shared for portfolio purposes, either under our agreement with the client or brand involved, or with their permission.
If you're featured on this site and have a concern about how your work is represented, contact us and we'll sort it out.
6. Creative Ideas & Submissions
Creative work is what we do, so this matters to us.
Our own concepts, campaign ideas, treatments and creative direction, whether published on this site or shared privately during a conversation or pitch, remain our property unless we agree otherwise in writing. Sharing an idea with you doesn't transfer ownership of it.
If you send us an idea, pitch or creative material we didn't ask for, please understand that:
- we may already be working on something similar, independently;
- we don't take on any duty of confidentiality over it unless we've agreed that in writing beforehand;
- we're not liable if something we make later happens to resemble it.
If you want to discuss an idea under confidentiality, ask us about an NDA first.
7. Enquiries & Client Work
Getting in touch through this site, or exchanging emails with us, doesn't create a contract or commitment on either side.
Any commissioned work, creative direction, campaigns, photography, film, editorial or brand partnerships, is agreed and governed separately, through its own signed agreement covering scope, fees, timelines and ownership of the finished work. These Terms cover use of this website only.
8. Third-Party Links
This site may link to external sites (social platforms, press, partner sites). We're not responsible for their content or practices, check their own terms before relying on them.
9. Website Availability
We aim to keep this site running smoothly but can't guarantee it'll always be available. We may take it down for maintenance or other reasons without notice.
10. Liability
We take care with what's on this site, but nothing here should be treated as professional or legal advice. To the extent permitted by law, we're not liable for loss arising from your use of this site. Nothing here limits liability that can't legally be limited, such as for personal injury caused by negligence.
11. Updates to These Terms
We may update these Terms as the business grows. The version on this site is always the current one.
12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
