Privacy Policy
1. Who We Are
This Privacy Policy explains how A Slice of Joy Enterprise ("Slice," "we," "us," "our") collects and uses personal information when you visit this website or get in touch with us.
Slice is an early-stage business and is not currently incorporated as a limited company.

We are not currently registered with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO). We're keeping this under review as the business grows, since registration may become required depending on how we process data in future.
2. Information We Collect
When you contact us, through a form on this site or by email, we collect what you choose to share, typically your name, email address, and the content of your message.
If you become a client, we collect what's needed to deliver and manage the work, such as contact details and project correspondence.
If we feature you, as a creator, interviewee, or collaborator, through Slice Platform or Slice Originals, we collect the professional details and material you provide for publication.
We're not currently using website analytics or tracking tools, so we don't automatically collect browsing data through this site at this time.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use personal information to:
- respond to your enquiry;
- discuss and deliver a project, if you become a client;
- feature creators and collaborators in our editorial and creative work, with their agreement;
- meet basic legal and accounting obligations.
We only send marketing communications if you've asked to hear from us. You can opt out at any time.
4. Business Relationships
Where we work with production partners, freelancers, or collaborators on a project, they may need access to relevant project information to do their work. We expect them to handle it responsibly and confidentially.
5. Third-Party Services
We are not currently using any third-party services that process personal data on our behalf (such as analytics, hosting, cloud storage, or payment providers).
As the business grows, we expect to start using services like these, for example, website hosting, email tools, cloud storage, payment processing, or analytics. When we do, we'll update this policy to name them and explain what they do with your information.
6. Cookies
This site does not currently use any non-essential cookies. If that changes, we'll update this policy and ask for your consent where required.
7. Data Security
We take reasonable care to protect the personal information we hold, including limiting who has access to it. As we bring on new tools and partners, we'll make sure they meet a similar standard.
8. Data Retention
We keep personal information only for as long as it's needed, generally, enquiry details are kept while relevant to an ongoing conversation, and client/project information is kept for the duration of the relationship plus any period required for accounting purposes.
9. Your Rights
Under UK GDPR, you have the right to ask us:
- what personal information we hold about you;
- to correct anything inaccurate;
- to delete your information, where applicable;
- to stop or restrict certain uses of it;
- to withdraw consent, where we rely on it.
To exercise any of these, contact us at hello@weareslicehq.co.uk. If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information, you can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
10. Changes to This Policy
We'll update this policy as our tools and practices develop, particularly once we introduce any third-party services, analytics, or cookies. The version published here is always the current one.
